Gothic Romance

I love the Helper Room. This year at convention, I won a Tonner "Gothic Romance" doll. The doll was the Souvenir from a 2011 Metrodolls event.

She is dressed in a gorgeous, deep purple riding habit.

Happy Trails!

My 2nd box of UFDC Convention goodies has finally arrived, after taking the slow boat. I set up my Cowpoke Ginny and Cowpoke Jill.

Here they are on the centerpiece from the Happy Trails luncheon.

Aren't they sweet?

Discover Guam... The Local Way

I had the opportunity to visit the island of Guam this month. While there, I wanted to see the U.S, National Park sites for The War in the Pacific. I searched for tours, but all the tour groups were aimed at Japanese speakers, except one. I found Discover Guam ... The Local Way by searching online. They are a locally owned and run tour company that offers tours in English. Hurray! I was taken on a personal World War II tour around the island.

At the T. Stell Newman Visitor Center, a Park Ranger talked one on one with me about Guam and WWII and  I watched a 20 minute movie. There was also a very informative museum. This gave me most of the background information I needed for the other sites.

I highly recommend this tour group if you plan on visiting Guam.

Docolla Rurouni Kenshin

I received an Amazon gift card for my birthday, so I was able to pick out my own birthday present. I had already received a pile of books and CDs, so I purchased one of the dolls that has been sitting on my Amazon Wish List.

I chose the Rurouni Kenshin Docolla doll by Pullip. Himura Kenshin is the star of the manga/anime/movie francise, Rurouni Kenshin or Samurai X.

He is adorable, but doesn't come with his reverse blade sword. I will have to find him an appropriate weapon.

He is about the same size as Mini-Pullip and Petite Blythe.
